Logan Cherry Competes at KAAC State Governor's Cup

Logan Cherry, 6th grader at TCMS, competed at the KAAC State Governor's Cup competition at the Galt House in Louisville on March 12 and 13.  He represented Todd County by competing in the social studies written assessment along with 122 other students.   It was a great experience and we are very proud of Logan for representing Todd County Middle School and district!

Academic Awards Ceremony

The annual Academic Awards Ceremony was held on January 9, 2017 during the regular scheduled Todd County Board of Education meeting.  We are proud of all of our students and their achievements.  The students received academic awards for scoring all proficient and/or distinguished on Kentucky State Accountability Testing.  We had 379 students receive special individual academic awards.  Congratulations to the students, parents, and teachers!       ...

Spirit of Kentucky Award presented to TC Board of Education

Our State Representative, Mr. Jason Petrie, who represents the 16th District of Kentucky attended the January 9, 2017 Todd County School Board meeting.  He came to make a special presentation on behalf of Governor Bevin to the board members of the “Spirit of Kentucky Award.”  Mr. Petrie greeted the parents and students attending and the Todd County Board members.  He stayed for our annual academic awards which honors those students who scored proficient or distinguished...

EMT Class Practices for Firetruck Driving Test

On Wednesday November 16 and November 22 the students in the EMT/Firefighting Class trained in the parking lot next to the Career Path Building.  They were completing their Drivers Training for KCTCS Fire Certification.  They drove a fire pumper truck provided by Elkton Fire Department through an obstacle course.   I would like to thank Mrs. Judy Toombs and the Elkton Fire Department for the opportunity for our students to train.  It was fun to watch the students, they...

EMT Training on October 22, 2016

Mrs. Judy Toombs was very pleased with the EMT training her students participated in this past Saturday.  The Todd County School District would like to give a special thank you to the Elkton and Fairview Fire Department and Todd County EMS for their help providing equipment and manpower.  This past Saturday the EMT students had four hours of fire training at Fairview Fire Department and the students learned several skills and information.  Mrs. Toombs is  enjoying teaching...

Fire and EMT Hands on Training for TCCHS Students

Mrs. Judy Toombs, EMT Instructor at TCCHS, arranged for the Fire/EMT students to receive special hands-on training on September 7, 2016.  We are grateful to have Mrs. Toombs provide the courses for students to become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. The students can also become trained as firefighters.  This is a great need in our area and throughout Kentucky.   The EMT certification provides students with the opportunity to work in area ambulance services upon...

TCCHS ACT 2016 Graduating Class Comparisons

ACT scores increase at Todd County Central High School Todd County Central High School results for the March 2015 administration of the ACT for the graduating class of 2016, show the class obtained a composite score of 18.6, which represented a 0.2 point overall gain in the overall composite score from 2015. Reading scores were the highest noted from the graduating class, with the largest increase in scores, with a score of 19.1. The score for English was 17.6, which was up 0.6 points from 2015.
