13 school districts in Kentucky, including Todd County, have been approved for waivers for Non-Traditional Instructional Days. The Non-Traditional Day waiver allows Todd County to continue with class in the event of inclement weather. The decision to implement the Inclement Weather Plan or Non-Traditional Instructional Days is the decision of the Superintendent, upon advisement from the Director of Transportation and Director of Pupil Personnel.
Teachers at Todd County Central High School have provided students with 10 days of study upon leaving school on December 18th.
Each unit and additional directions are provided on teacher websites. When students are notified of “Inclement Weather Days” students should begin working on the lessons on a day-by-day basis. The 10-day units are not designed to be completed over a one-day period. Teachers will be accessible during inclement weather days by email or other alternate means provided by each individual teacher. A grade will be given for each daily unit of instruction assigned during inclement weather days. Students are responsible for turning in daily units of study upon return to class, and will be given 7 days to complete assignments for a grade upon returning to class.
