Todd County Central entered Saturday’s All-A Classic Volleyball semifinal match 0-14 all-time against Monroe County. The streak would not extend to 15 as the Lady Rebels downed Monroe in three sets to advance to the finals where they later lost to Clinton County in straight sets.
The Lady Rebels beat Monroe 25-19 in the first set but dropped the second 25-21. Todd won the deciding set 25-15.
Freshman Lucy Chester again had a solid match, notching 10 kills and two aces. Presley Conquest added eight kills and three aces, and Brylee Shemwell had three aces and two kills. Addileigh Wofford contributed 16 assists and an ace.
Todd met defending All-A region champion Clinton County (5-0) in the championship match. The Lady Rebels lost the opening set 25-19 and then the deciding set 25-10. Chester had six kills in the match, and Wofford had nine assists.
Meredith Drummond finished both matches with 17 digs.
Chester, Conquest, and Drummond were named to the All-Tournament team.
Todd County Central (2-3) will host Butler County Monday.
