When tornadoes hit surrounding areas in December 2021, Todd County Schools Community Education Director Katrena Smith initiated a gift card drive.
Thanks to generous donations from Todd County citizens, gift cards to a local restaurant were presented to Todd County Emergency Management Services (EMS), Todd County Dispatch, and Pennyrile Rural Electric linemen for their service and dedication to the community.
Also receiving gift cards to Walmart, Lowes, and Kroger was the community of Bremen, in Muhlenberg County.
